Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls NP & enroute rhino trekking.
After an early morning breakfast, you will be picked up by your tour guide at 8:00am, who will brief you entirely about the 3 days Murchison falls national park tour, you will later start your journey to the park which is a 5-hour drive via Masindi.
Have an enroute visit to Ziwa rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola district for rhino trekking that will last for one or two hours. After this activity you will have lunch at Kabalega diners and continue with the journey to Murchison falls national park, where you will have dinner and an overnight stay at a pre-booked lodge.
Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise in Murchison falls national park
You will have breakfast at the lodge and you will be picked up for the morning game drive that takes you to Murchison’s plain savannah landscape where you spot different mammal and bird species including buffaloes, Jackson’s hartebeests, antelopes, kobs, elephants and lions as you see them grazing or hunting for their prey in the beautiful savannah landscape.
After this activity you will head back to the lodge for lunch and prepare for an afternoon boat cruise on R. Nile. As you sail through to the bottom of waterfalls you will be mesmerized by the beautiful aquatic mammal species such as the hippos and crocodiles seeing them relaxing in the water and the shores of the river, giving you a refreshed moment for an evening. Later on after the boat cruise, you will head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala from Murchison falls national park.
After a warm cup of tea in the morning you will check out of the lodge and prepare for your journey back to Kampala. Have a stopover in Luwero town for a culinary session as you buy and taste some of Uganda’s fresh fruits like mangoes, pineapples, bananas and oranges that are harvested straight from the garden. After this refreshing activity, continue with your journey to Kampala. On arrival in Kampala you will be driven to Entebbe international airport for departure to your next destination.
