Kidepo valley national park is one of Uganda’s virgin savannah parks that is located in the far north east region of Uganda in Kabong district. On this 3 day tour to the national park you will experience an authentic side of travel as you will tour through its savannah landscapes, plain valleys endowed with beautiful wildlife species, birds, vegetation and transected by the Kidepo and Narus rivers. This park has a profusion of a number of activities such as game drives, birding and Karamojong community visits.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kidepo valley national park.
After having an early morning breakfast, you depart from Kampala and start long hours’ drive to Kidepo valley national park which is which 720 km from Kampala.
Many stops shall be made for lunch, photography, relaxation and continue with a journey to the park.
On late arrival in Kidepo valley national you will have dinner and an overnight stay at the checked in lodge.
Day 2: Game drive through Kidepo and Narus valleys
After an early morning breakfast, prepare for a morning game drive in kidepo valley where you will be exposed to beautiful mammal species such as cheetahs, lions, ostriches, hyenas, and leopards among others. After this drive head back to the lodge for lunch and later on in the evening go for another scenic game drive in the Narus valley which is found in the southern part of the park.
Narus valley is endowed with a number of mammal species that you will see while on the drive and these include African Elephants, buffalos, giraffes, lions, Jackson’s hartebeests and waterbucks among others. After this activity you head back to the lodge for chills, dinner and a night stay.
Day 3: Transfer from Kidepo valley national park to Kampala
After a warm breakfast, as this marks the end of your 3 days safari to kidepo valley national park, check out of the lodge and start the journey to Kampala. Have many stopovers for chills and lunch while on your way.
On the late night arrival in Kampala it’s advised to not book a departure flight on this day rather book the following day, this is due to the long journey from kidepo valley national park to Kampala.
