4 Days Masai Mara & Lake Nakuru Wildlife Safari

A safari with a component of mammals, unique tree species and rare bird species is one not to miss out. In this 4 days’ safari, you will visit Kenya’s most visited national park, Masai Mara, gifted by nature with several mammals and avian species enjoying their stay in the lush savanna and co-host of the annual wildebeest migration. Lake Nakuru will offer you a chance of watching the flamingoes by the lake shores, flying while flapping their wings.

This safari involves a memorable cultural encounter with Masai herdsmen, game drive where you stand a chance of sighting all the big five in the wilderness, photography, a scenic drive, and very comfortable accommodation.

Safari in details

Day one: Pick up and Transfer to Masai Mara National Park

On this day, our company representative will be glad to meet you at the agreed point, either your Hotel or Airport, going ahead to brief you on each and everything you should know concerning the trip while responding to any of your inquiries.

Thereafter, you will hit the road on a 3-4-hour drive, making the first stop at the magnificent Great Rift Valley where you will climb up the escarpments, wonder at the beauty of the place and take some photos. Afterwards, return to the vehicle and proceed with the drive to the park but stopping for lunch at Narok center, then arriving in your lodge in the evening.

Check in to your lodge, rest a bit and head out for an evening game drive where you get chance to spot the cats coming out from the hideouts to hunt, these may include the lions, and leopards among others.

Return to the park for dinner and overnight after the adventure.

Day Two: Morning Game drive and cultural encounter with the Masai people

Wakeup for early morning breakfast, then drive to the scattered acacia plains in the quest for the early morning hunters heading to the wild to find the day’s prey, whereas the night hunters returning to have a rest.

In your 3-4-hour drive expect to sport any or all of the big five (Rhinos, elephants, buffalos, lions and leopards living in this gifted paradise, but not also forgetting the cheetahs, giraffes, and over 450 unique bird species such as the blue breasted roller bird. Proceed to the Mara river where the annual wildebeest migration always occurs to spot some of the aquatic mammals such as the crocodiles and hippos yawning and playing with each other.

Return to the lodge for lunch before going for a rewarding cultural encounter with the Masai Herdsmen who will take you through a thrilling 2-hour cultural performance, dances, demonstrations as well as stories. When all is done, drive back to your abode for dinner and overnight

Day three: Depart Masai Mara for Lake Nakuru National park

After breakfast, checkout of the lodge and drive out of the park while having an amazing scenic view and spotting some of the mammals roaming around the park. Proceed with the drive to Lake Nakuru National park, a famous spot for watching pink flamingoes, as well as different mammals including the gazelles, Rothschild’s giraffes, rhinos and zebras among others. Arrive safely though exhausted, enjoy the dinner and overnight.

Day four: Explore Lake Nakuru and Depart to Nairobi

Early morning, have breakfast and head out to the lake shores where you will spend the early hours of the day doing scenic photography, game viewing, and watch the beautiful sunrise. After, return to the lodge, checkout and drive back to Nairobi for your flight back home or to the next destination.
