The 3 days gorilla tour in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park (smallest national park in Uganda) is one of the fascinating tours one can enjoy while on their safari in Uganda. This tour will start from a pick from Kampala to Mgahinga national park, located in the outskirts of Kisoro town which takes between 8 to 10 hours’ drive.

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Mgahinga national park
Early in the morning, at 8:00am you will be picked from your hotel around Kampala by our professional guide who will brief you about the whole tour and thereafter start your 8 to 9-hour drive to Mgahinga national park.
You will pass via the Kayabwe Equator crossing point for a stopover for pictures then continue the journey to Mbarara where you will have lunch.
Later proceed to Mgahinga national park in Kisoro, via Ntungamo-Kabale road, check in at the lodge for dinner and an overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga national park
Have an early morning breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts while on the trek of gorillas in Mgahinga national park.
Trekking of the mountain gorillas takes about 2 to 8 hours, with a group of 8 individuals visiting the resident Nyakagezi gorilla family – the only habituated family in the park for maximum of one hour.
Later after the tedious but fun adventure, head back to the lodge for short relaxation as you wait for dinner and night stay.
Day 3: Travel from Mgahinga back to Kampala
After a refreshing breakfast, check out of the lodge and begin your departure from Mgahinga national park. You will still be driven by our professional guide through the beautiful hills, and scenic views of Kisoro city and Mbarara that will leave you breath taken as you drive back to Kampala where you will later set off for a departure flight to your next destination.
