This tour will take you to Uganda’s most beautiful national parks; Queen Elizabeth. The park is marked with a number of beautiful game and myriad of activities such as game drives, boat cruise on the Kazinga channel and also on this trip you will have chimp trekking experience in Kyambura gorge in the northern side of the park. This tour will give you a memorable experience as you explore the most hidden parts of the park. The will start and end in Kampala.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Have an early morning game drive; you will be picked up our professional guide who will brief you about the 4 days wildlife and chimp trekking tour. The set off will be from Kampala and drive for about 6 hours to Queen Elizabeth national park.
While on the journey, have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe for pictures, later head to Mbarara at Igongo culture center where you will have lunch. After lunch continue the journey to the park for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and boat cruise along Kazinga channel.
After an early morning breakfast, take a drive to Kasenyi sector for morning game drive. While here you will get exposed to a number of mammal species like antelopes, buffaloes and elephants and a number of bird species. After this activity head to the lodge for lunch and then prepare for boat cruise on Kazinga channel.
The channel is a converging area for animals such as the hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and over 40 water bird species as they come to cool off the heat and also to drink from the river. All this can be viewed while relaxed on the 2-3 hour boat cruise. After this activity head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.
Day 3: Chimp trekking in Kyambura gorge
After delicious breakfast, drive to Kyambura region, and get briefed about the chimp trekking by the guide, later head to the jungle for the trek of these great species. The kyambura valley has about 16 chimpanzees, but also accommodates other primates and birds.
The slopes of kyambura gorge attract flamingoes that by chance you might have a glimpse while on the trek for chimpanzees that takes about 2 to 6 hours. After this activities head back to the lodge for chills and relaxation as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer back to Kampala
This will be the last day of a fun-filled 4 days Queen Elizabeth national park wildlife and chimp trekking safari. After a warm breakfast you will check out of the lodge and begin a 6 hours’ journey to Kampala.
Make a stopover at Mpambire drum maker’s center where different hand crafts and traditional drums are exhibited. Later continue to Kampala for lunch and later be transported to Entebbe international airport for departure.
