The journey first leads to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking. This is a once in a lifetime experience with the world’s endangered primate species. After, head to relax with a boat cruise on Uganda’s deepest lake, Bunyonyi. Here, you combine this with scenic views of the 28 magical islands.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After a delicious breakfast, you’ll be picked up by our professional guide. He or she will brief you about the 3 days tour. Start your safari from Kampala and head for an 8 to 9-hour drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Your destination is precisely to Rushaga sector in Kisoro for gorilla trekking experience. On arrival at the national park, check in at your place of accommodation. This is where you will have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking, and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After a delicious morning breakfast, you will drive to Rushaga ranger station at 7:00 am for a briefing. This is mainly about gorilla trekking in this sector. You will be given guidelines on how to behavior with these species. A number of 8 individuals will be allowed to trek for 2 to 6 hours. But, spend only 1 hour with the gorilla family met.

During the one hour, you will experience the lifestyle, behaviors and gestures of these beautiful species as you will see them play , feed and move around the forest,  and take a lot of pictures with the gorillas provided your camera doesn’t have a flash.

After this activity head back to the lodge for relaxation. Later, set off for another exciting journey to Lake Bunyonyi. This time, you will have a sunset recreational boat cruise, site seeing, dinner and night stay.

Day 3: Boat cruise & transfer to Kampala

Having had breakfast, you will prepare for a relaxing canoe experience on Lake Bunyonyi. It is fun since you float on the 2nd deepest lake in Africa. Be rewarded with a beautiful view of the magical 28 islands dotted across the lake. Then, head back to the lodge where you will check out and start your journey to Kampala. On arrival in Kampala the guide will drive you to Entebbe international airport for departure flight.
